What is the meaning of Malachi 4:2 ? The Sun of righteousness?

That is a very good question…let us look into the scripture of truth and find the answer.
“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.“

Malachi 4:1,2

Why is the Lord Jesus referred to as the “Sun of righteousness” here, and not “Son“?
🤔🤔

Here is why:

“Now these be the last words of David.
David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.“

2 Samuel 23:1-4

The seventh day – the day of the LORD

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth…he created it all in six days, and rested on the seventh day, and sanctified the seventh day.

There are seven thousand years in all of time, from the time that Adam was created in the garden of Eden, until time shall end and there will only be eternity.

These seven thousand years are seven days.
“For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.“
Psalm 90:4

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
2 Peter 3:8

The seventh day is the day of the LORD, when our Lord Jesus Christ shall return to sit upon his throne and reign over all the earth with a rod of iron.

In that day, our Lord Jesus shall fulfill the prophecy spoken by David, and shall be, “as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.”
This is why Peter wrote,
“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts…”
2 Peter 1:19
And, this is why the Lord Jesus said,
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.
I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.“
Revelation 22:16

We are presently entering the night season of the sixth day; and the morning is not afar off, when the Sun of righteousness shall come and shine the light of God (for God is light, and in him is no darkness at all) over all the earth, and it shall be a new day – a day of rest and peace for the righteous in Jesus Christ our Lord, the Prince of peace.
Amen.
Glory to his name!
Alleluia!
