While there is no mention in the Holy Bible of “the doctrine of election”, or the “doctrine of predestination”, the fact that God Almighty has a remnant of angels and men that he calls his elect is presented throughout the scriptures.
It starts, of course, with our Lord Jesus, who is God’s elect.
.
“Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.”
Isaiah 42:1
And, of course, those throughout the ages who have been chosen of God in Christ to serve him and inherit his holy kingdom, are called his elect.
“And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.”
Isaiah 65:9
”Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.”
Romans 11:5
”Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.”
2 Timothy 2:10
”Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness…”
Titus 1:1
And, there are also the elect among the angels:
/
”I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.”
1 Timothy 5:21
So then, why are some the elect, and others not?
There are many who get very confused about this very simple matter, delving into the witchcraft of theology, twisting around words and teachings, and creating entire religious cults around them…but the answer is very simple, according to the scripture.
Those of us who are joint heirs to the kingdom of God in Christ Jesus our Lord, were foreordained before the foundation of the world, just as he was.
”According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself…”
Ephesians 1:4,5
”[Christ,] Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”
1 Peter 1:20,21
And the reason that we were predestinated and foreordained before the foundation of the world, is that God Almighty has declared the end from the beginning.
”Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”
Isaiah 46:9,10
And as God said to Rebekah, when there were twins in her womb,
”Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.”
Genesis 25:23
And again God said,
”Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”
Romans 9:13
Why?
Very simply because God knew those men before they were ever born; and he knew that Esau would despise his own birthright, and have no regard for his father’s name or his father’s God, but Jacob would be an obedient son and go on to live his life in a way that would honour God, and that God would meet with him in the desert and call his name Israel (which being interpreted is, a prince of God); and that from him would come twelve sons, which would become twelve tribes, and that from them would come the Christ, who himself is Israel (the Prince of God).
/
”And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.”
Matthew 2:13-15
”When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.”
Hosea 11:1
Jesus is Israel, and Jesus is the Prince of God.
“Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.
Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.”
Ezekiel 44:1-3
”For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.“
Isaiah 9:6,7
And so, God, knowing from the foundation of the world, who would serve him and who would not, has a remnant of people which he has chosen to be his own, that he refers to as his elect.
We are those who were chosen of him before he created anything; whom he called, justified, and glorified in himself before the world was.
”And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
Romans 8:28-30
/
This is why our Lord said, when praying to God:
.
“And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
John 17:5
,
Being chosen of God does not mean that he is any respecter of persons, or that he has “forced anyone” to believe on him or not believe; it only and very simply means that he knew before he created anything exactly who would believe his word and obey him, and who would not.
,
”Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?”
Romans 9:21-24
,
The same is true with the elect angels also; for it is written that some of them rebelled in the days of Noah and left their first estate in heaven to defile themselves with the daughters of men, and thus the women gave birth to giants, which were mighty men of old, men of renown. These giants became known to the many pagan cultures around the world as “the gods”. They are the gods of the Canaanites, and of the Hindus, and the Buddhists, and the Catholics, and the Protestants. More simply put, they are the gods of Babylon.
Those angels were cast into prison in the earth under chains of darkness until the great day of judgment, and their offspring were all destroyed in the flood; but many more of the angels did the same thing after the flood as well, insomuch that the scripture testifies that there have been entire nations of giants in the earth since the flood (see the books of Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Joshua), and that a third of all the angels of heaven have rebelled against God and are following Satan.
,
“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born...And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Revelation 12:3,4,9
.
And we know that God knew about all of this from the beginning, because he hath called the end from the beginning…so those of the angels that he knew would be faithful and obedient to him unto the end, are the elect angels, and the others he hath charged with folly (Job 4:18), and they are damned.
.
“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”
Jude 1:6
.
So, we conclude from the word of God that he has known from before the foundation of the world exactly who would believe and obey his word, and be faithful to him unto the end, and he has called them his elect(chosen); and the rest are vessels of wrath fitted to destruction; and God Almighty will be equally glorified in the destruction of the wicked as he will by the glorifying and exaltation of the righteous.
.
”The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.”

if God made perfect creation without sin, then how did Adam and eve sin if they never originally had the inclination to sin, and more so the angels who are in close proximity with God also sin, how does that make it perfect creation or how did God see it as good.
If you will seek God in his word and obey his gospel, dear friend, he will show you why he desires a nation of children who love him rather than a sea of robots.
For any king, those who love him because of his love for them are much preferred over a realm of those who love him because they have no other choice.
